We’re your tiny home specialists

We’re here to make the dream of living in a luxurious, minimal-living home (that won’t cost you an arm and a leg) a reality.

Our extensive research and experience in the art of tiny homes has enabled us to deliver high-quality products that are finished with superior craftsmanship to our clients across the state.

We’ve earned a strong reputation from putting our clients first, throughout the build process. We want you to feel you’re being heard and taken care of every step of the way, so that, come handover, you can step into a truly incredible living experience, knowing that it has been carefully crafted to reflect your lifestyle, and your dream space.

While we have standard models to choose from, each project is unique. You can have as much influence in customising the fixtures and finishes as you like to really make it your own.

Jason Zadow

Founder Jason Zadow knows tiny homes inside and out. Not only is he a qualified builder and graduate architect, having equipped himself with a Bachelor of Environmental Design and Master’s degree in Architecture (BEnvDes + MArch), but he has also personally lived in and constructed dozens of tiny homes all over the state.

The entrepreneurial type, Jason ran a successful paintball business before a fairly average-looking 20-foot shipping container made its way into his life. It was a personal experiment that, once complete, had a high demand on Gumtree. This led to a second prototype and, cut to 6 years later, Jason has installed countless Tiny Homes all over Tasmania.

Jason’s the owner of a beautiful golden retriever, Benny, an integral member of the team who spends every day at the workshop with his dad, ensuring a high degree of quality is maintained.

Sam Moore

Sam will be your main point of contact for all your planning, design and project management needs throughout your Tiny Home build. Sam has a background in accounting, completing a Bachelor of Business and working as an accountant for 12 months in his younger days. Despite being king of the office, Sam’s also super handy on the tools when an extra set of hands is needed (or when he’s after a change of scenery).

Sam’s the dad of a beautiful baby boy and two chihuahuas, Bobbie and Mischa, and enthusiastically spends most of his time either at work, with his gorgeous wife and kids (yes, the dogs count as children), or getting stuck into the next home reno project.

What we do

Not only are we flexible with our design phase, but our entire process is also led by you and what you need from us. We can offer a full service from start to finish including concept, design, planning approvals and permits, construction of the Tiny Home, project management and construction of your siteworks, delivery, connection to services and sign offs.

We are also open to a more collaborative approach at every step of the way if for example you have your own preferred tradespeople for siteworks or wanted to take care of the project management yourself.

Design

While our standard designs tend to be the most successful layouts for most of our clients’ needs, we also understand that each client has their own unique circumstances. We’ll work with you to develop the perfect design for your lifestyle and needs.

Project management

At the start of each project, we’ll work with you to outline your expectations and delivery date. Once the plan is set, we'll keep you informed every step of the way.

Tiny Home Construction

We build your entire home on-site at our Launceston premises, using our own qualified tradespeople. This means we're hands-on with each and every project from start to finish. On average, construction usually takes 10-12 weeks.

Siteworks

As part of our full service, we can arrange and undertake all of your siteworks including footings, decking and plumbing/electrical services and project manage these works to line up with your building permits and delivery of your Tiny Home.

Delivery

We can organise delivery to your site anywhere in Tasmania (Including Flinders/King Islands) with our transport partners. This cost is variable and will be quoted depending on location.

The not-so-tiny movement revolutionising Australia and the world

At Tiny Homes Tasmania, we construct low-cost housing quickly and efficiently. Our Tiny Container Homes repurpose shipping containers to build (yep, you guessed it) tiny homes. Our Bigger Tiny Homes are built from scratch as one unit on a set steel frame, meaning you get all the perks of a container home, just with a heap more space.

We’re proudly Tasmanian-owned and operated, and it’s our aim is to create a worry-free environment using beautiful, inexpensive materials and clever design techniques to bring your vision to life.

We believe luxury and affordability are not mutually exclusive – our tiny accommodation solutions encourage a comfortable and minimalistic lifestyle.

Our tiny homes can serve a great range of purposes in both city and regional areas, including primary residences, ancillary dwellings, rental properties, Airbnb and holiday units, granny flats, teenage retreats… and as a studio or extra space to complement a primary residence. Our units may be tiny, but their list of uses is extensive!

Whatever your needs, we can supply a tiny home solution to suit you.

A tiny experience that’s big on quality

At Tiny Homes Tasmania, it’s not just our buildings that are top quality – we have also earned a strong reputation for high-quality (dare we say it, exceptional) customer service. We, Jason and Sam, take a hands-on approach with all our jobs, which ensures we not only connect with and understand every client (and every project) but there’s a smooth, problem-free construction process, keeping our clients happy!

Then there’s our range of designs, which is also not-so-tiny … and while we have standard models to choose from, we do understand that each project – like each owner – is unique. We encourage our clients to have as much influence on the finished product as they like – from design adjustments to a fully-customised plan, or to fittings and finishes that are as unique or original as the person who will be living there.
