Beaumaris Tiny 40
This 40ft Tiny Container Home has found home in Beaumaris!
Emma approached us wanting a 40ft Container Tiny Home to install on her property. It would eventually become an Airbnb – a couples' retreat for those wanting to escape to the tranquil East Coast bushland.
The result? A home that maximises use of space while embracing all the best parts of tiny living. With cleverly design features that allow for optimal storage and ample benchtop space, this tiny home is both spacious and functional.
The custom cabinetry and wardrobes from Polytec compliment the Tas Oak engineered flooring, ABI Interiors brush copper tapware and cabinetry hardware. Black stone sinks – also from ABI Interiors – in the kitchen and integrated bathroom and laundry area combined with the 12mm porcelain benchtops from Rossetto Tiles create a contemporary feel.
I wanted the container to just sink into the landscape, which I think it really does.
Louvred windows on both sides of the main living/kitchen area create beautiful cross-ventilation of airflow – something Emma requested early in the design process.
And, with windows on all four walls of the container, you can view the bush from almost any position within the tiny home. Because of this, the space feels intimate and cosy yet free-flowing with the outdoors.
At Tiny Homes Tasmania, we design our Container and Bigger Tiny Homes to accomodate indoor-outdoor living – the addition of an expansive deck couldn't have been easier for us to coordinate during installation!
After safely delivering this container to its home in St Helens, we installed the finishing touches: pendant lighting for the bedroom and living room, as well as the addition of a glass screen to the shower.
