Introducing our first Bigger Tiny Home

The very first Bigger Tiny Home has officially found home on an incredible ocean-views site on Tasmania’s north-east coast!

Our client approached us about a Tiny Container Home, but needing a bit more space so it would be suitable for a family member and her children.
So, we developed the concept of a tiny home that would remain one, road-transportable unit – like our Container Tiny Homes – but that would offer the space that the client needed. After the success of this build, we are now super proud to offer our Bigger Tiny Homes as part of our wider catalogue of tiny homes. Let’s take you through this one!

Our client wanted a fast and temporary solution for his family member that could later be a comfortable guesthouse for his extensive family. And we have certainly delivered this!

This Bigger Tiny Home offers everything our Container Tiny Homes have, but with extra capacity – including 3 full-size bedrooms with built-in robes and fitted out with quality finishes. In the kitchen and main living space we’ve included timber benchtops, fresh off-white cabinetry and engineered timber floorboards.

A practical European laundry is easily tucked away behind sliding doors. The walk-in shower creates a sense of spaciousness, and it's tiled-in window offers a touch of luxury.

Glass sliding doors connect the open plan living inside the Bigger Tiny Home to the outside seamlessly. This design makes for a light-filled and free flowing living situation. On top of that, with the incredible view right outside this particular tiny home, obstructions are minimal, and the beauty of the outdoor environment can be best appreciated.

We completed this Bigger Tiny Home in a matter of just 10 weeks, starting from the moment our client paid his deposit on the home. This means we’ve achieved a high-quality, comfortable 3-bedroom home much faster than a traditional home build! And, because this particular home is an ‘ancillary dwelling’ and not a primary residence, there’s no need for planning approval which means we could get building sooner.

As always, project management was managed by us seamlessly. We coordinated all trades that were needed to carry out the installation of the Bigger Tiny Home, which in this case were chosen by the client, as well as the transport of the Bigger Tiny Home from our workshop to the Bridport site – this required a truck and an escort vehicle.

We understand that not everyone necessarily has preferred tradespeople, so don’t worry. We work with our trusted subcontractors to complete the onsite installation for your tiny home and manage everything from go to woah.

With our signature flexibility and ability to customise homes to suit your needs, our Bigger Tiny Homes are a wonderful option for those keen to get started on their tiny living journey but are after a bit more space than our Container Tiny Homes offer.
